Proactive Messaging: your companions may reach out to you on their own after you've been away (requires eligible email notifications or push notifications enabled on at least one device). Control it for all chats in User Settings or for individual conversations in Chat Settings.

Upgrading Mid-Cycle
Applies to any paid subscription upgrade — tier upgrades (e.g. Premium → Ultimate), billing-duration upgrades on the same tier (e.g. Monthly → Annual, or 3-month → 6-month), or both at once. Your new plan takes effect immediately.
How proration works depends on whether your current plan is monthly or multi-month:
Upgrading from a Monthly plan (Premium Monthly or Ultimate Monthly)
You pay the full price of the new plan at checkout. No dollar credit is applied to the upgrade price.
Any unused Moments from your current monthly grant are converted to Top-Up Moments (non-expiring, do not reset). They stay in your balance — they are not lost.
You then receive your new plan's Moment grant on top of those converted Moments.
Upgrading from a Multi-Month plan (Quarterly, Biannual, or Annual)
Applies to upgrades to a longer duration on the same tier (e.g. 3-month Premium → 6-month Premium) or to a higher tier (e.g. 3-month Premium → 3-month Ultimate, or 6-month Premium → 12-month Ultimate).
You are credited the dollar value of any months on your current plan that have not yet started — i.e. months you have not yet received the Moment grant for.
That dollar credit is applied to the new plan at checkout, reducing the amount you pay today.
Your new plan starts immediately and your new tier's next Moment grant is delivered right away.
Example: You're on a 3-month Premium plan and you're 2 weeks into month 1. You've received the month-1 Moment grant, but not yet the month-2 or month-3 grants. If you upgrade to Ultimate, you're credited the dollar value of months 2 and 3 of your remaining Premium subscription, applied to the Ultimate checkout. The Moments themselves aren't transferred — the unused months convert to a $ credit.
In both cases, your new tier's features (memory, bonus %, message length, personas, group chats, etc.) are active immediately.
Subscription Bonuses
Purchasing moments requires a paid subscription — moments cannot be bought on the FREE tier. Each paid tier also earns a bonus on moment purchases:
PREMIUM: 10% bonus
ULTIMATE: 15% bonus
Example: If you purchase 4,000 moments for $11.99:
PREMIUM: Receive 4,400 moments (10% bonus)
ULTIMATE: Receive 4,600 moments (15% bonus)
(FREE tier is not eligible to purchase moments.)
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I upgrade my subscription tier anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time from the Store.
Q: What happens to my unused messages when I upgrade?
Daily message limits reset daily regardless of tier. Upgrading gives you access to higher limits immediately.
Q: What happens to my unused Moments when I upgrade mid-cycle?
They are not lost.
If you're on a Monthly plan, any unused Moments from your current monthly grant are converted to Top-Up Moments (non-expiring) and stay in your balance. You then receive your new plan's Moment grant on top.
If you're on a Multi-Month plan (Quarterly, Biannual, Annual), the dollar value of any months you haven't started yet (months you haven't received a grant for) is credited toward the upgrade at checkout, instead of the Moments themselves being converted.
Q: Will I be charged the full new price when I upgrade?
From a Monthly plan: Yes — you pay the full price of the new plan, and your unused current-cycle Moments are converted to non-expiring Top-Up Moments.
From a Multi-Month plan: No — you pay the new plan's price minus a dollar credit equal to the value of the months remaining on your current plan that haven't started yet.
Q: Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing period.
Q: I'm still on an old Lite or Plus plan. What happens to me?
The legacy Lite and Plus tiers are being retired, and remaining members are moving to Premium at their next eligible renewal, with at least 14 days of notice by email and in-app notification. See Legacy Plan Migration for dates, pricing, and your options.
Q: What payment methods are accepted?
Credit cards (excluding Amex), virtual debit cards, and cryptocurrency (minimum $20 for crypto payments).
If none of those work for you, prepaid 3-month and 12-month Premium/Ultimate keys are available on G2A as a last-resort alternate method. They don't auto-renew, can only be redeemed when you have no active subscription, and can't extend or upgrade an existing plan. See Alternate Payment: G2A Keys.
